A Central Texas preacher is arrested for having a locked box full of child porn.

Waco Police Detective Scott Holt says Pastor Henry Edgington claimed he was collecting the porn for a good cause and was going to turn it over to a local congressman to show him what was being posted on the internet.

When Edgington wasn't preaching at Elm Mott Church of Christ he was working at the Czech Inn in West.

Police say that's where he logged-on to the computer and downloaded photos of young girls in sexual positions.

Edgington may not have been caught if a woman close to his family hadn't stumbled upon a locked box, at Edgington's McLennan County home and called police.

The lead preacher at Elm Mott Church of Christ says he did not want to talk about this on camera.

Edgington is charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography.

He posted a $70,000 dollar bond and is out of jail.
